    I’m playing [OoT] for the first time because my parents were uptight about magic when I was a kid. Is it just me or is the Shadow Temple like 50 times easier than the Water Temple?

    Finally played A Link to the Past! [ALTTP]

    I was told it's one of the best Zelda games so far, so I decided to give it a try. I've never really clicked with 2D Zelda games in general but I decided to get to the end credits and form my opinion from there. It was really fun, but short, only about 15 hours according to the Switch play time thing.

    It was not nearly as convoluted as I had initially been lead to believe. It held my hand about as much as OoT did, and even when I was stuck, I could just buy a hint from a fortune teller or whatnot (the only time I was truly stuck was against the boss in the Turtle Rock dungeon. I hadn't picked up the ice rod yet, and needed to look up a guide. I could damage the ice head with the fire staff but couldn't touch the fire head, so I was stumped). The final boss is also really easy once you look 2 centimetres down and realize there are torches.

    The two world mechanic was amazing, and really added a lot of depth to the game. The combat was really fun, if not a bit inconsistent with the Y axis (stalfos jump above you but still deal damage at the apex of their jump). I just wish there were more nooks and crannies to explore in the overworld.

    All in all a good time, definitely a game I'm glad to have checked off of my backlog finally. 3/5

    And the ending was amazing, except for one thing. When you go back to play it after defeating Ganon, it puts you back to before you hadn't even fought Ganon. Idk why but it just kinda annoys me.
