    [MM] I saw the mockup for this a few days ago on this sub and decided to make it for real. I’m in the process of trying to make functional straps and applying soft leather for the bridge of my nose. It’s 100% wood.

    The thing that immediately left an impression on me was the style of level progression. I totally understand what they were going for, but it wasn't really my thing. I prefer the world to feel more connected. The fact that you only carried one item at a time was kind of jarring too, and made it feel too different from a Zelda title in my opinion.

    However, beyond all that, the game was fun! The puzzles were simple for the most part, but there were a few that really stumped me (having to throw a boomerang through a wall to hit a switch, having to carry a Link from the shadow world to hit a switch) and it kept it enjoyable. But the most fun part for me was the combat. The horde battles were really fun, and messing around with your positioning to find the optimal strategy was engaging and fun. I also enjoyed the story for what it was, obviously they couldn't go too deep with it because of the type of game it is, but the NPCs were great for the most part.

    All in all a really decent game, one of the better 2D Zelda games in my opinion. I definitely want to wrangle 3 friends up and play the game again the way it's meant to be played. it's a nice palate cleanser if you've been playing too much Zelda recently (me) and need something different. Good game, 6.5/10
