Posted: 10 May 2020 10:06 PM PDT From the rule in the sidebar:
The sub gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here] as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Monday's so it doesn't over take the sub. Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week, just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch is limited to today! [link] [comments] |
[BoTW] Who else thinks Breath of The Wild would make for a great Co-Op experience? Posted: 10 May 2020 02:48 PM PDT I think BotW is alright, but now I can't stop thinking about how fun it would be to play it with a mate of mine. Anyone else ever thought this? [link] [comments] |
[SS] Finally played Skyward Sword Posted: 10 May 2020 12:56 PM PDT A couple of weeks ago I posted here asking if SS was worth the total cost of a new system, new game, accessories, etc. Luckily, I had a friend who let me borrow her Wii that had a remote with Wii Motion+ inside. I only had to buy a used game and buy a RCA AV to HDMI converter. I think it was worth what I had to pay for (considering I'll be using the converter for a long time) but not for buying a Wii just for the game if I went that route. The beginning of the game up to Skyview Temple was painfully slow due to extensive cut scenes, which, some were unnecessary in my opinion. In addition to the slowness was Fi treating the player like they've never played a Zelda game before. I think the game would've been better off with a "pro" version where Fi didn't over explain everything. Lastly, which I hated the most, was the constant interruptions from items cut away. Sacred Butterflies are all over the map but if you leave an area and come back to the same place to catch one, it was as if Link caught one for the first time. I can't count how many times I was in mid battle and everything stopped for an item I've already obtained. With the negatives aside I love how original the linear gameplay was. SS's first three dungeons were unlike any of its predecessors. Instead of trying to lift a curse from a temple or obtain a pieces of an item, it was trying to physically catch up to Zelda. Then the adventure of creating the Master Sword was awesome and it added depth the lore of the franchise. I do wish some of the bosses were harder and the dungeons were more complex. But overall they were all extremely entertaining. And Ghirahim is probably the best deuteragonist in the franchise. He's annoyingly theatrical, flamboyant, difficult, and cunning. There's been so many frustrations I've had battling him it's almost hilarious. Being Fi's counterpart also adds a better dimension of the storyline. Overall it has its flaws but it's definitely a unique story that answered the mystery of reincarnations, legendary items, and expanded the universe in a creative way. Edit: holy crap I didn't expect anything more than 10 upvotes. Thanks for listening! [link] [comments] |
[BoTW2] What items do you think we should start the game with? Posted: 10 May 2020 02:57 PM PDT Unlike other Zelda games, in BoTW almost all items are optional. In my opinion, we should start with a powered up Master Sword and The Hylian Shield. No food, or bow. We will not have the Sheikah Slate as shown in the trailer, we will probably use powers with the magic hand. In my opinion, Link's armor inventory should have The Hylian Hood(with the hood down), Champion Tunic(the updated one shown in the trailer), The Hylian Trousers, The Zora Tunic because it would be pretty heartwarming that Link kept it and The Wild Set. The Wild Set being redesigned would be pretty good because even though it fit the first game, this game doesnt really seem to be fitting for a hero with no trousers. What do you guys think? [HW] I feel So Silly For Not Realizing This Sooner... [A Link Between Worlds Spoiler] Posted: 10 May 2020 07:21 PM PDT So, I was playing Hyrule Warriors as Ravio and staring at the screen tallying my points after a mission when it hit me out of the blue that Ravio is dressed as a Rabbit because... Spoilers for Link Between Worlds... He is the Lorule Equivalent of Link, and in A Link to the Past, if Link went into the Dark World without the Moon Pearl, he'd be transformed into a rabbit. I feel so silly for only just now having this click, but in my defense I haven't thought much about ALBW since I last played it and only just actually played as Ravio in HW for the first time Yesterday. [ALTTP] why is Link's hair purple? Posted: 10 May 2020 08:16 PM PDT I started playing Link to the Past and I noticed that Link's hair is purple. It's not like that in the official art. So why is his hair purple? I would show a picture but this subreddit won't let me for some reason. Maby it's because I'm new? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 May 2020 09:04 PM PDT Would anyone be willing to give this a go? Picture the Four Giants holding up the Moon, but the giants resemble doctors/nurses with medical masks and the moon resembles the Coronavirus model. I think it would be both creative and a beautiful homage to those called to action to help save others in the midst of a crisis. Again, I'm not an artist in that way, but I thought it would be a cool idea if anyone is looking for inspiration! [link] [comments] |
[BoTW] Cool things to do post game? Posted: 11 May 2020 12:52 AM PDT Just beat this game yesterday, absolute masterpiece and i love it. However i feel like i haven't even touched the surface of things to do in this game even though i put 30 hours into it. I didn't know what a great fairy was and that they upgrade apparel. So you guys/gals have any cool idea's on things to do? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 May 2020 12:00 AM PDT Hello! I recently got a Wii U. I already got HW and BoTW and i love them. Anyways, i have been thinking of getting one of the HD remakes. Which one should i get: TPHD or WWHD? [link] [comments] |
[BoTW] I'm a new player who just started my first play through on Master Mode. Posted: 10 May 2020 09:24 PM PDT [BoTW] Just as the title said. I was wondering if this was a good idea and if I'd have an okay experience. I'm a souls player so difficulty is my strong suite but mainly I wanted to know exactly what I was in for. [MC]Starting Minish Cap for the first time. Any tips that might be useful? Posted: 10 May 2020 01:30 PM PDT Yesterday, unfortunately, I had to be admitted to the hospital for an infection. Luckily, I thought to bring along my 3DS. After looking through all my available games, I realized I had Minish Cap there and that it was one of the few Zelda games I had never beaten. So, anyway, does anyone out there have any tips or tricks that they wish they had known when they had first started the game? I'd love any insights you all have. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 May 2020 11:18 AM PDT I want to ask you guys something about imp Midna. for the longest time I've loved imp Midna, since I was a child and still do, but it was only a couple years ago when looking for Midna discussions online that I had seen that the opinion that imp Midna "looks like a child" wasn't an uncommon one. I wanted to ask why do you guys think that is and if you hold that opinion yourself I would love to hear what you think. Is it her short stature? That's the only reason I can think of because her proportions certainly don't lean towards childlike. [link] [comments] |
