From the rule in the sidebar:

Feel free to post news about new official merchandise whenever you like but for unofficial goods, or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The sub gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here] as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Monday's so it doesn't over take the sub.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week, just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch is limited to today!

[LAHD] Just beat the Link’s Awakening remake. I forgot how damn sad this ending is.

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 07:03 PM PDT

I got the secret ending where Link lives, but even then, the entire world you're on just... poofs. Gone. What a gut punch.

On a brighter note, this is pretty much the best remake I've ever played, or at least it's way up there. They got every single thing right.

    [BoTW2] Trailer theory

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 06:33 PM PDT

Just want to share my thoughts on the botw2 trailer and know what everyone thinks.

I'm mainly referring to the part where the trailer gets intense and switches between many frames really quickly. As I've been sitting on this idea for ages and just can't see a different view of it. I know that there are some flaws in my concept but i'd love to hear what you guys think of it.

So starting from the frames switching quickly.

Firstly we see the cave shaking as the hand wrestles to keep Ganondorf in place. I would like to point out that in this frame Ganondorfs ruby on his forehead is clearly glowing vividly where in all previous frames it was clearly unnoticed. I reckon this is to do with him reacting to the presence of Link and Zelda.

It then cuts to links arm being covered with the glowing light, which relates to the frame seen 2 frames later when link is reaching to grab Zelda's hand. This is the main point of the entire trailer as it leads to the story advancing. I believe that the way the story advances from this point unfolds as this. Zelda and link explore the hidden cave underneath Hyrule castle. when they find Ganondorf he reacts to the presence of the 2 of them and "awakens" we can assume that he has been in a deep slumber the past hundred or thousand years and due to the defeat of calamity Ganon the mental stability of Ganondorf returns. Ganondorf begins to wrestle with the glowing arm and begins to shake the entire cave. this leads to Zelda falling off of a ledge. Zelda falls and link reaches out to grab her saving her from falling but then due to the continuous shaking a large part of the cave falls away and both link and Zelda fall. At this point in the wrestle of control between the hand and Ganondorf, the hand decides it better to save link and Zelda instead of holding Ganondorf.

The hand releases Ganondorf and goes to save grab links hand (as seen later), seeing it better to save the princess and hero rather than try and hold down the demon. As link and Zelda recover from their fall the power of the hand enters link and overwhelms him with its power. He fall unconscious leaving Zelda and Ganondorf together. Ganondorf releases his calamity across the castle that appears to have ancient Sheikah technology in built into it and takes control of the castle (this links to the idea of Hyrule caste flying around the map). He stares at Zelda (the head snapping) before leaving her alone in the cave, most likely expecting link to be dead and her with no means of protection. As Ganondorf seizes control of his flying castle plaguing the land with calamity link and Zelda escape the cave to see the Hyrule tainted in the darkness.

Thats how i think Zelda BOTW2 is going to start out and be based on

Please let me know what you think

[botw] new to Zelda and struggling with combat

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 02:41 PM PDT

I'm new to Zelda franchise and I'm really enjoying the exploration aspect. However, I've found 3 shrines that I cannot do (all strength tests) and a Hinox. I have done about 15 shrines so far and bought armor along the way. What am i missing and how can I progress in the game? As far as main quests I've just gotten the divine beast quest but have not yet ventured into that part of the game yet.

    Any advice is welcome.

Update: took a break and when I came back I was able to complete a modest test of strength.

[Other] I had a dream about zelda!

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 11:35 PM PDT

I cant edit title so [Other] I had a dream about the legend of zelda The dream started with me and about 7 other friends in a big empty room with vines on the walls and celling. We were all fighting a mini boss/boss (I dont really remember what he looked like but he threw bombs at us and the vines so it might be a hinox) our target was to save the vines from exploding so it was kinda a timed battle. (The fight was 3D btw) When the mini boss/boss died there were explosions and the heart container droped. I heared one of my friends said "Third boss done, 8th heart container!" With a lot of excitment so I knew the dream took place in the third dungeon. Everyone took there own heart container. Before I took mine, I looked at my health counter and I had only three heart containers, so I thought to myself I was doing a 3 heart challenge (I believe most if not all mainstream zelda games have) so I continued to the end of the dungeon without taking the container. (Fron now on the dream is in 2d for some reason, maybe in the game I dreaming about you switch from 2d to 3d and vice versa) After the boss I got teleported to a shore and (in my dream) I said "I need to find them all!" And then began exploring the shore. (The day before the dream I tried to find all the koroks in botw so There could be 2d koroks? Or maybe I needed rupees. Idk) After a bit of walking on the shore I found a course. Near the course there was an old man and a dog. I went to talk to him, he said "you want to swim dont you? I can grant you that power. But first, you need to beat my course. 20 rupees for a try." The course looked a bit like the one in LA. The target was to shoot targets while on a moving raft. I agreed. A bow appeared in my hands out of nowhere and I got teleported on a raft. I knew not to shoot all of them because a heart piece might appear so I shot about 75% of them. The raft is painfuly slow so it was easy. When I reached the end of the course I was teleported back to the old man and he said "congarts kid! Here take a rupee!" I talked to him again and he said "the zora flipers fell into the water and I cant swim. Can you get them for me?"

This is all I can remember from the dream so I hope there wasnt too much bad grammer english is my second language. Hope you enjoyed. How knows? This might be a vision to a future zelda game! probably not though...

[OoT] Ocarina of Time emulated GC Version or emulated 3DS Version?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT

Hello! I'm interested in playing OoT for the first time ever. I want to download the Legend of Zelda GC collector's edition ROM so I can play it on my PC using Dolphin. I'm partial to this method because I have a GC controller and adapter which works seamlessly with Dolphin.

However, I've heard the 3DS version is the best version, and also that 3DS emulators for PC are pretty good. Should I spend the time trying to get set up with a 3DS emulator and playing it that way, or is Dolphin+GC version a similar quality PC experience?

[OTHER] Although I'm terrible at drawing, I'm trying to make my pencil case look better by adding Zelda designs. Any suggestions for the main image?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 11:02 PM PDT

Basically I want to get better at arty stuff, so I started drawing with sharpie on my pencil case, and really early in I decided that I could make it Zelda themed, because why not? I've only done a few border features so far, and I have no idea what to put in the larger center area. Any suggestions? Perferably something that is somewhat easy to draw so I can make it look sort of ok. Also, I will have colours, I can borrow coloured markers off my friend.

[BoTW2] Is it possible breath of the wild 2 might take place largely underground? (Theory/Speculation)

    Posted: 07 Jun 2020 07:37 AM PDT

After watching the trailer for BoTW 2 again my mind kept going back to how the entire teaser was underground showing us massive caverns and the like. So this made me wonder if maybe BoTW 2 will be set largely underground, or have underground cave crawling as a major feature.

It would also make sense as they have said they wanted to make this game just if not darker than Majoras mask, which is one of the darkest legend of zelda games to date.

Just wanted peoples thoughts on this? Does this make sense at all? Love to hear your thoughts.
