[OoT] Doing a chronological playthrough of all the Zelda games, where should I die against Ganondorf/Ganon for the downfall timeline?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 12:54 PM PST

Everything says Link lost against Ganondorf, rather than Ganon, so should he just destroy me in energy tennis? Or should I lose against Ganon?

[BoTW] Cooking Calculator is now up!

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 07:39 PM PST

Hey everyone, I've spent the last few months getting this Cooking Calculator up and running.

There are a few calculations that still need tweaking, but largely it's in really good shape. Let me know what you think!

(While you're there, check out my Armor Tracking List, Armor Upgrade Calculator, or Shrine Tracking List).

    [ALL] These games music...

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 06:37 PM PST

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the music in this series? In almost every instance, the music playing perfectly reflects the things that are going on. From the stressful, but somewhat happy tone of Clock Town; to the little jingles while traveling Hyrule in BotW. I could just sit on my device for hours listening to the music. Pure gold.

[AoC] The Best warriors game yet.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:26 PM PST

People look down on warriors games, saying how they are bad and have bad gameplay

But for me, the hyrule warriors series is one of the best game series I've ever played

Age Of Calamity is amazing, the gameplay execution and style ticks all the boxes for Hyrule Warriors fans.

Do NOT sleep on this game, we might have potential for GoTY (Game of The Year.)

[OTHER] Need a good name for LoZ inspired world for my KH DnD game

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:37 PM PST

I'm attempting to do a Kingdom Hearts game in the future and wanted to see about getting a name for the 'World' itself. Sure it's set in Hyrule and specifically BoTW timeline but I wanted a name not too on the nose like 'Hyrule' or something.

    https://list.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_worlds_in_the_Kingdom_Hearts_series

There's an idea if you don't know about Kingdom Hearts. Some of them are on the nose but not all are.

[MM] What game has the most emotionally deep story

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:41 PM PST

A friend and I were talking about Majora's Mask and how it has such a deep, emotionally rich story, and it made me think about how deep the story actually is. Personally I think MM is the correct answer, but what about you?

[AoC] Weapons available in the Demo

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 03:21 PM PST

    Hey all!

I've been loving the AoC demo so far and I keep finding myself going back to collect weapons to fuse. I did some quick research online and didn't find any "master list" of the weapons available in what we have available. I just did the Breach of Demise mission for, I believe, the 5th time and got my first Soup Ladle as a reward. I'm just curious what else I have to try and collect haha

    So far I have:

    • Soldier's Broadsword
    • Traveler's Sword
    • Tree Branch
    • Lizal Boomerang
    • Boko Club
    • Soup Ladle

If you guys have gotten anything else, I'm very curious to see if anything else is available so far!

[OTHER] Are Gwonam and King Harkinian actually owned by Nintendo or Philips or ANYONE in any capacity?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:02 PM PST

Just curious for future reference. They've kind of been taken on by the internet and neither Nintendo or Philips have acknowledged the characters since. Is it safe to say they don't actually own the characters, or perhaps even refuse to associate with anything from the CDi games?

[LA] Anyone else find this game kinda creepy?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 04:59 PM PST

When playing the switch version, I initially thought that this game had a fun and somewhat jolly vibe to it. However, after beating it and looking back at the game it's almost unsettling. Everyone is gone, the two boys playing catch in front of the library, gone. Just a mere figment of Links imagination. You get the gist of it, what do you think?

[All] name some of the dark undertones of the zelda universe

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:25 PM PST

[AoC] Have you experienced frame rate issues?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 01:05 AM PST

I've always played my switch hand-held. Docked it once, absolutely hated it. I've done everything i can in this demo. Got Link all available weapons (as far as we know), maxed out all 3 characters and done every side quest. I can max out all weapons, but I like fighting with a lvl one soup ladle on very hard. Anyways, throughout my 11 hours of gameplay, I've only experienced frame rate once when I first started playing. Other than that nice and smooth. Just curious, because I see this everywhere.

[BoTW] Best way to play the Zelda Switch Trilogy for the first time?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:08 PM PST

I'm a not a fan of Zelda, only games I've played were like 10 mins of Spirit Tracks and I only own Ocarina of Time 3DS (It's a great game though, make no mistake about) That being said, I've been looking forward to playing BotW for years ever since they teased it in 2014. Due to some personal reasons, haven't gotten a switch yet, but I'm getting one soon. Was gonna get one this holiday but may wait since Switch Pro rumors are heating up. However, I wanna know how I should play the series whenever I do get a system. Should I play it in release order or chronological order? I'm big on both story and theme, so I'd like y'all's take on it

Edit: When I'm talking about a trilogy I specifically mean Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and the BotW sequel. Even from the outside I know how confusing the games stories are😅

[OOT] I GOT SERIOUSLY STUCK help):

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:17 PM PST

Well, it's my first time playing Ocarina of time, and I'm in the water temple, of course. The thing is, I think I really messed up because I used the keys in the wrong places and now I have no keys left, and I need keys to get more keys, and the only thing I can do is raise the water up to level 3 or just the bottom, I can't, by any way put it in level 2, or at least I've been seriously trying and nothing seems to work Did I just break the game? Or there's any hope for me? Do I have to restart the whole game?? )):

[OoT] I just finished OoT for the first time, but I don’t feel as happy as I think I should.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:39 AM PST

The final battle with Ganon was mediocre at best (really easy for me compared to other boss battles I've had throughout the game) and I feel like the ending was so...abrupt. The Sages seal away Ganon, Zelda sends you back to your childhood, and it's just...over. Nothing more. Yeah, you get the little credits scene where everyone is happy and celebrating and all but...I don't know, I wish there was MORE.

I still love the game a lot, don't get me wrong. It's one of the best I've ever played.

I'm going to buy Majora's Mask soon since it's the sequel, and I'm very excited. I'm going into it blind.
