    [OoT] I timed the length of every dungeon

    For some reason, I decided to time the lengths of all the dungeons in OoT. These are not speed runs by any means, but I've played this game countless times since it released in 1998. I know it like the back of my hand, and I played at my normal pace. Some conditions I included for the times:

    • Timer starts upon entering the dungeon, and ends when the boss is slain
    • I collected all chests and Gold Skulltulas in every dungeon
    • For the Spirit Temple, I did not include the time it took to run back and change into adult Link, though that only takes less than a minute or so
    • I included Ganon's Castle on the list, and the time was measured from the start of the dungeon to the point Ganon was slain

    Anyway, here's the list:

    • Deku Tree: 9 minutes
    • Dodongo's Cavern: 20 minutes
    • Jabu Jabu's Belly: 15 minutes
    • Forest Temple: 27 minutes
    • Fire Temple: 29 minutes
    • Water Temple: 32 minutes
    • Shadow Temple: 25 minutes
    • Spirit Temple: 31 minutes
      • 12 minutes (young)
      • 19 minutes (adult)
    • Ganon's Castle: 30 minutes

    Was surprised to see that Jabu Jabu's Belly was quite a bit shorter than Dodongo's Cavern; it always felt longer to me. All of the other times were pretty expected. Was a bit surprised by the Spirit Temple taking almost as long as the Water Temple, but I think it just feels shorter since it's split into two segments (young and adult).

    It's so hard to pick a favorite dungeon, specifically among the temples. I love them all. The Water Temple is the one I've grown to appreciate the most over the years. They're all just so damn cool, even though some are designed better than others.

    Well, that's it. I was bored.
