From the rule in the sidebar:

Feel free to post news about new official merchandise whenever you like but for unofficial goods, or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The sub gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here] as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Monday's so it doesn't over take the sub.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week, just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch is limited to today!

[All] HD Remakes for Switch! More please!

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 07:07 PM PDT

I know we have Link's Awakening, but it would be great while waiting for BotW2 if we could have the HD remakes on Wii U to be ported to Switch. Wind Waker & Twilight Princess would be a great start and (getting into dream territory) a remaster of Ocarina of Time would be awesome (due hat-tip to the 3DS version). Any news/rumours on these points?

    [OC] new game

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 09:46 PM PDT

They should make a new game called 'twisted reality' or something, where it basically gets all the links from each timeline and has the player switch between them to defeat a mega boss.

[OoT] Something that’s been bothering me about this game’s plot points

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 06:26 PM PDT

Zelda: the Ocarina of Time was my first foray into the Legend of Zelda series. It's still one of my favorite video games of all time, and I have found myself playing it all the way through at least once a year.

However, there's this one plot point in the game that always bothered me even when I first played the game at age 10. >!As you all know, Child Link pulls the Master Sword out of the pedestal in the Temple of Time and is sealed away for 7 years to become an adult. During that time, Ganondorf was able to enter the Sacred Realm and obtain the Triforce. Thus, began his dark reign over Hyrule until his defeat by Link and Zelda.

So my question is this: if Adult Link could travel back in time by placing the Master Sword back into the pedestal, why doesn't he just simply do just that; take the 3 Spiritual Stones to shut the door to the Sword's chamber; and go into hiding for 7 or so years? That way, Link becomes an adult and can obtain the Triforce before Ganondorf or anyone else can get it. Thus, Hyrule would not fall to Ganondorf's power and Link and Zelda's descendants wouldn't be constantly fighting him every 100 or so years.

I'm sure someone already has a logical reason for why that couldn't happen, but I still haven't found any logical answers other than the game wouldn't be as fun traveling between the two time periods to get to new areas/dungeons you couldn't reach until you got some new item.!<

[BoTW2]Had a dream where the player character of BoTW2 was... Ganondorf. Yeah you heard right.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 11:51 PM PDT

He came out of one of the shrines (Those made it back in I guess), he seemed to have started off with a few more hearts (Probably because he's hard to kill) and had a unbreakable Greatsword. I THINK he had access to his dark magics as well as ways to make himself better beyond hearts and stamina, but I did not get to use that.

Perhaps the more interesting thing was that he was working with Link and Zelda to stop a even worse threat, though neither of them trusted him one bit. I got the feeling you could also choose to play as either of those two.

In the cutscene with them discussing their next move Link TALKED though, which was how I figured out that it was sadly a dream, because as we all know, Link is either only capable of HIYAHS or keeps silent due to pressure depending on game.

What are your hopes and predictions for [BOTW] 2?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 09:11 PM PDT

[OTHER] been really into breath of the wild for about two years now, seen some of skyward sword (loved it). wondering what order i should play the zelda games in?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 06:42 PM PDT

normally i play things based on release date (ie while the technical chrono order of bioshock is infinite-burial-1-2, i played it 1-2-infinite-burial) because i prefer to experience games how longtime fans of the first game did. BUT i know zelda's timeline is whack as hell, and i'm already out of that tradition by playing botw first.

i've seen some of a playthrough of ss, own mm and oot on 3ds. easy enough to find playthroughs on youtube.

what is the best order to play the games in, in your opinion? or what would you recommend for someone who started with and is very familiar with botw?

by the way, for reference, i probably won't understand any of the abbreviations except botw, ss, ww, mm, oot, and loz. i am not bright lmfao

    [BoTW] Ancient

    Posted: 08 Mar 2020 12:41 PM PDT

Just realized all the things in BoTW that have ancient in the name or are ancient are some of the most futuristic looking things in the game ie: guardian weapons, ancient arrows
