From the rule in the sidebar:

Feel free to post news about new official merchandise whenever you like but for unofficial goods, or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The sub gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here] as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Monday's so it doesn't over take the sub.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week, just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch is limited to today!

[ALL] Which 3D Legend of Zelda game has the best music?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 07:27 PM PDT

In my opinion it's Twilight Princess, followed closely by Ocarina of Time.

One thing we can all agree on, though: Koji Kondo is a master of music.

EDIT: Wow, everyone! I'm glad this was able to spark some discussion (as well as some bitter arguments lol). I'm also incredibly thankful for every upvote! I was not expecting anything like this, so thank you all, the community of Reddit and of the Zelda subreddit. You all have made some great points, and each game had great music. Thank you all again for spicing up my day!

    [WW] Poor Medli

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 08:45 AM PDT

Replaying Wind Waker for the first time in years, and I just had to point out...how unlucky was sweet, pure Medli to end up stuck in the literal tomb of the Earth Temple surrounded by corpses for all of time. What did she do in a past life? Karma was not kind to her.

And not only that - she has WINGS and worships a sky god and now she's stuck underground forever? Ouch.

[Other] Has anyone ever wondered what would happen if Link ever married a Gerudo and had a son?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 05:14 PM PDT

Seriously, would that mean that Link would be the father of a New Ganondorf?

I have actually been thinking about this for a while about Links reincarnations but due to an Event in Twilight Princess, I wonder even more if it could even be possible

    What do you all think?

[ALL] What is your favorite Zelda game?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 01:22 AM PDT

I've only ever played The Legend Of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass on my DSi, and I've started playing Zelda Breath of the Wild last week. I do really like the graphics etc of Breath of the Wild, but I really want the Phantom Hourglass kind of story back, the walkthrough and everything, idk, maybe it's because I'm still at the beginning of Breath of the Wild, but I just really miss The Phantom Hourglass

[all] which Zelda game has the most world magic?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:47 PM PDT

[BotW] Do you guys think that the reason the Hero of the Wild is right handed instead of left is so Nintendo could shoehorn in motion controls?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 09:43 AM PDT

I was just thinking about how Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess (for the Wii) portray both the Heroes for their respective games as right handed, so that when the right handed users are using motion controls they would be at ease while holding the Wiimote.

Meanwhile, Breath of the Wild has no clear reason for Link being right handed, other than the possibility of motion, IMO.

This was just a little thing that I was thinking about and wanted to hear other people's opinion on the matter.

This also puts the idea forward that, if this is confirmed, Nintendo might add motion controls for BotW2? Who knows.....

    Edit: grammar/words

    Second Edit: same as before

[ALBW] Question about StreetPass Medals and Pre-Generated Shadow Links

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 09:34 PM PDT

    Hi there,

Was reading about how you can pre-generate Shadow Links in A Link Between Worlds every 4-5 hours of gameplay. If I left my game on the bell warp screen would I be able to generate a bunch of Shadow Links to get all the StreetPass Medals, or is that not really possible/feasible?

    Thanks!

[MM] What color is the Fierce Deity's sword?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 02:18 AM PDT

So I 3D model and 3D print swords and stuff from Zelda and after finally beating Majora's Mask, I want to make the Fierce Deity's sword now more than ever. I had modeled it a while back but now that I'm going to make it in real life I need a question answered; what colors are on his sword? All concept art I saw, fan recreations, and my references had it as blue and green blades with a rounded green hilt. All versions of it in the games (Majora's Mask, Hyrule Warriors, and Breath of the Wild) have it as silver and turquoise with a pointed hilt that has both colors and merges into the blades. Which is correct? It's driving me insane and j really want to get this right.

[All] Ranking the 3D Zelda Games

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 01:47 AM PDT

    Ranking the 3D Zelda Games

How would you rank the 3D Zelda games?

    Here's mine:

    1. Majora's Mask: Best story (extremely unique and innovative), amazing sidequests, great dungeons (despite only 4), and amazing world. Majora's Mask took everything Ocarina of Time had and made it better. Stone Tower Temple is also my favorite Zelda dungeon of all time. Great Bay Temple is fantastic, too, despite the hate for it.
    2. Twilight Princess: The story is very interesting, and it has the best sidekick is all of Zelda, Midna. What really makes this game for me is the dungeons. Dungeons are my favorite part of Zelda games, and this has a fantastic lineup full of unique puzzles.
    3. Wind Waker: While the Dungeons are great, they are not as good as many others in the series. This game makes up for it with wonderful exploration and story building. The cartoony characters makes this game simply a fun game.
    4. Ocarina of Time: This game is amazing. Similar to Twilight Princess, the dungeons really make this game fantastic. However, the child link portions are kind of boring.
    5. Breath of the Wild: Don't get me wrong, I love this game to death. I longed for an open-world exploration zelda game for awhile. While I got what I wanted, it removed some of my favorite aspects of zelda games, especially the dungeons. The dungeons are very basic, short, and boring. The bosses require little strategy and do not focus as much on figuring out weaknesses and attacking at the right moments. The storyline is also weaker. The open world gameplay is fantastic, but this game would be perfect if it had traditional zelda dungeons, items, and a unique story. Also, please stop raining!!!
    6. Skyward Sword: This game gets a lot of unnecessary hate. The controls are weird, yes, but the storyline is one of the best in the series. This Zelda is my favorite in the whole series...she actually has a personal relationship with Link. The dungeons are also really good.

All of these games are amazing and some of my favorites. Besides Majora's Mask (always #1), the list is very fluid

[BoTW] would it have been a cool DLC feature if they,

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 11:37 AM PDT

If they included the option to have a selection of Hyrule field overworld themes to play while walking around Hyrule? Maybe even chose from past Gerudo Valley themes, Zora Domain, and Kakariko Village.

Just a thought I had while playing, that it would have amazing to hear Twilight Princess field theme.
