    [WW] Funfact: Ubisoft once offered Nintendo to make a port of the Wind Waker for Game Boy Advance. This is an official concept pitch Ubisoft showed Nintendo, before Nintendo declined their offer. Apparently, they never made a playable prototype, just this concept still.

    When the writers qualify it as "rumor" or "leaks", they don't have to provide credible sources, which means they can make up any horse hockey they want. Midna travels through time and becomes a playable character? Sure! Link builds a starship and conquers the Mushroom Kingdom? Why not? Mipha gets reincarnated as a bokoblin and feeds Zelda to a hinox? Spread the word!

    STOP. CLICKING. ON. THESE. ARTICLES.

    I'm not, but I know some of you are because they keep getting written. They're clogging search results and creating overwhelming background noise, and the only way to make them go away is to completely ignore them. If they don't get clicked on, they don't generate ad revenue, which means those publications will stop fabricating Zelda news from scratch (or citing absurdly unreliable sources, like Reddit comments).

    There are no leaks. I remember when J K Rowling went on hiatus between books four and five. If I had a dollar for every "rumor" and "leak" I read on the internet, I could pay off my student loans with a single check.

    I have a friend who was on the cast of Catching Fire. She would not say one word to her own sister who she's very close to - and this was on a movie based on a book that had already published. People who are on serious projects like that don't leak. They don't do it. It would end your career in a single blow, and people who design and/or develop games for Nintendo have been striving toward that goal for many years.
