[ALL] I'm surprised a lot of people don't know about the mangas.

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 11:45 PM PDT

In this thread a lot of people are saying "wait, there is a manga ?" https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/comments/iafp27/tp_link_meets_the_heros_shade_colored_in_case/

Well yeah, there is one, even multiple manga adaptations of TloZ. It's just, they are quite... inegal.

You can buy them at pretty much every known book store. At least, that's my case in France.

The big issue with those adaptation is that they are just one book or two for one game, so they are super rushed. Alttp shows this best when you have litteral bosses and dungeons solved in one or two pannels.

So far, there is (by head, maybe I forgot some) :

A Link to the past (1 book)
    Ocarina Of Time (2 books)
    Majora's Mask (1)
Oracle of Season / Oracle of Ages (2)
    Four Swords Adventure (2)
    Minish Cap (1)
    Phantom Hourglass (1)

Nowadays there is reprints of OOT, OoS/OoA and FSA that mix the two books in one, called 'Perfect Editions' with colored pages and more.

Those manga ain't the high tier bunch, since they rush the games and sacrifice a lot from them (one shot bosses, not very deep characters, in M'sM no romani ranch, etc), but it's still cool to see our favorite characters in another media (and Link talks !)

The current running series, based on Twilight Princess, took a very good step further : there is actually 7 books. Yes, 7 books for one game ! They can finally take the time to improve the characters... and I have to say, its pretty good ! (even if the task of topping the other manga wasn't that hard...) it's still going on, the 8th will release at the end of the year (at least, in France, that's how it is. It can change depending your country)

There is also a Skyward Sword chapter, (not an entire manga, but maybe a future adaptation ?) but not yet released in the west as far my knowledge goes.

This is all I know about the zelda mangas. I hope this can help.

    [BoTW] What if: Sheikah Station

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 08:56 PM PDT

What if there was a Fifth "Divine Beast" before Hyrule Castle? This one being some kind of Space station in Geosynchronous orbit, directly over Hyrule Castle.

This construct would have been unaccounted for when the Kingdom was uncovering and reactivation the lost Shiekah Technology and Divine Beasts. Owing to Hyrule's ignorance of Outer Space and the transportation system to the station (Either a teleporter or a space elevator) having never been located and uncovered. However, had they uncovered it. Imagine how a medieval person would react to seeing Outer Space for the first time as well as their planet from the Station's view.

The Purpose of this Station being that instead of the Divine Beasts aiming their laser sights at Hyrule Castle, they instead aim at the station. Upon firing their beams, the station would concentrate and focus the energy of the beams and fire straight down at Hyrule Castle and into the Laboratory underneath.

As for an alternative to Link having to find the teleporter/space elevator.. There could be an entire quest involving Link having to assist in the construction of a spaceship similar to the one seen in the Bomb Shop in Majora's Mask.
