Today is Merchandise Monday. So you can post your collections, boxes, photos of your game, a cool t-shirt your found, etc today only! - October 21, 2019

From the rule in the sidebar:

Feel free to post news about new official merchandise whenever you like but for unofficial goods, or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The sub gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here] as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Monday's so it doesn't over take the sub.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week, just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch is limited to today!

I have to say, [WW] came out in 2003, got remade 2013. [TP] was made with a modified version of the same engine in 2006, got remade 2016. [SS] came out eight years ago... Switch is perfect hardware for it...

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 07:54 PM PDT

Please, Nintendo. It's the only one of my three favorite games to not have been remade.

    Ocarina of Time hype [OoT]

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 07:08 PM PDT

What was the hype like? Do you remember hearing about the game before playing it?

How did you hear about the hype, friends, magazines or commercials? (If there's a commercial, I want to see lol)

Did OOT come with your system? Was it the first game you got?

[WW] Thoughts on the WW port coming to Switch?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:10 PM PDT

Personally, I wish it would. I never had a WiiU (for what I assume are obvious reasons) and that game was my absolute favorite Zelda game. I would love it if they ported the remake to the switch.

However, I can see the argument that those who had it on the WiiU would have to "re-buy" it to play it on the switch and that it was a WiiU special.

What are your thoughts and do you think it will happen?

Fough Twinmold for the first time in Majora’s Mask 3D...Yikes [MM]

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 08:17 PM PDT

Now I get why everyone didn't like how they redid this boss. The concept of getting the Giants mask and using it was cool at first, but once your big, you basically move at a snail's pace. It also takes way too long to defeat Twinmold. It was one of the most boring fights I ever fight and Zelda game, and it makes me really sad because up to this point, the changes hadn't bothered me that much.

Oh well, it wasn't the worst thing in the series. Just kind of a step back.

[OTHER] Which Zelda game should I buy? I've never played one before.

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 12:59 PM PDT

This is my first time really owning a Nintendo console ever. I've only owned the Game Boy and Nintendo DS. But I bought the Wii U a few days ago and I can finally play a lot of the original and new Zelda games. I keep hearing about Breath of the Wild and Wind Waker being too amazing games to get. Breath of the Wild sounding like a masterpiece and a game I need to play soon. But I'd like to hear what the Zelda fandom thinks I should play.

[BotW] fun, alternative ways to play through BotW again?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 01:17 PM PDT

Played through BotW at launch and loved it and been wanting an excuse to replay it but wanted to do something that would change my experience a bit - not necessarily more challenging but at least make it different.

I tried the Master Mode and found it made the combat (my least favourite part) even less fun, so simply replaying it on Hard isn't what I'm looking for.

I'm familiar with the "Nuzlocke" challenge in pokemon games, wherein you can only catch one pokemon per area, if they die you have to release them etc etc. It added some fun wrinkles to the game, and was thinking of something similar to do with BotW.

Here are some of my considerations: -no fast travel -no eating food during combat (since it seems unrealistic Link would down a dozen apples in between stabs of a bokoblin) -no minimap/HUD -cant access the map except in towns -no wish there was a hunger/fatigue mechanic; can't think of an elegant way to "fake" it.

    Any other suggestions?

[WW] Wind Waker HD Wii U is giving motion sickness...any suggestions or workarounds?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 10:30 PM PDT

I get motion sickness easily from lots of games. FPSes are right out, and a lot of 3rd person adventure games tend to make it worse.

For example, Danganronpa : Ultra Despair Girls made me extremely sick partway through, and that was on a small Vita screen. Final Fantasy XV did not give any motion sickness, nor does Persona 5. Both of those were on this tv that I'm using for Wind Waker.

What's odd is that Breath of the Wild WiiU was 100% fine with no problems on this same tv and cable. I could play that for hours and not a drop of motion sickness. It's just Wind Waker here.

Early Wind Waker seemed alright, but lately after I got to the Forest Temple I was getting dizzy and motion sickness after about 30 minutes.

Has anyone else had this issue with Wind Waker?

How far am I from the end of the game?

    [BoTW] RAVINES

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 03:03 PM PDT

I love this game. Although it's getting old VERY fast due to the annoying ravines. Which 99% of the time you can't climb. Is this only me? What do you guys do about it. I've played about 15 hours and yet to find a horse as well. It was so much fun at the beginning now it's just rock climbing simulator.

[BoTW2] MY thoughts on is it demise or ganondorf? in botw 2 trailer Discussion

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 06:23 PM PDT

i have heard many say that it is demise and many say it is ganondorf in the botw 2 trailer but i have to say ganondorf because wouldn't nintendo make it more obvious that is was demise? i mean the figure has everything demise does not, dreadlocks, gerudo head piece/crown, Etc. but demise has lnog flowing fire like hair,a big x on his head and a Beard and his skin looks more scaly like a dodongo. in conclusion there are to many differences with the mystery figure in botw 2 trailer and demise for the mystery figure to be demise. but you are entitled to your own opinion.

[Other] Which Mainline Legend of Zelda is your personal favorite?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 08:10 AM PDT

From its first installment, The Legend of Zelda, released for the NES on February 21, 1986, to its most current mainline installment, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, released for the Wii U and as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017. The series has have 19 Main installments (not including spin-offs, remakes or the unreleased Breath of The Wild sequel) with each differentiating themselves in terms of Music, Story, and with different depictions of the hero Link, Princess Zelda, and The Mad Tyrant Ganondorf/Ganon across games and sequels for a select few games. Within each installment, having its own plotlines, giving each their own story to tell during gameplay with small background details also helping out. With also using music to help concave the feeling and emotions in different scenarios like Normal Battles, Boss Battles, Final Boss Battles, finding a important item, or looking/visiting important locations.

So out of all of them, which one is your personal favourite and why?
